Campus Security & Life Safety Summit 2017

On November 1, Campus Security & Life Safety magazine will be hosting its very first summit

All of us at Campus Security & Life Safety are thrilled to announce our magazine will be hosting its very first summit this fall. This will be a one-day event where campus and education officials can learn about new solutions and technologies for campus security, emergency response, public and life safety and more. During the summit, attendees will have a chance to hear stories from Texas ISD police chiefs and industry experts, as well as learn vital information about the Clery Act.

Here is a sample of our lineup of speakers and topics:

Craig R. Miller, Chief of Police at the Dallas ISD Police Department, will lead the opening keynote. He will discuss the state of campus security in public school districts and explore how police officers perform their jobs while on campus.

Alison Kiss, executive director of the Clery Center, will break down the Clery Act, offering tips for implementation.

Joseph Parks, executive director of safety and security at Plano ISD, will discuss security procedures and practices for incidents that can happen on campus.

Patrick V. Fiel, Sr. will lead discussions in emergency communication and active shooter response.

Registration is now open, with discounts offered for early bird registration and groups of two or more.
