Open Options Appoints New South Central and Pacific Northwest Sales Managers

Open Options, the leader in open platform access control solutions, is excited to announce Shannon Diddell and Brent Mucher as the company’s new South Central and Pacific Northwest territory sales managers, respectively.

Diddell began his career in the security industry with Southeast Security Products, where he sold video, access control, and AV. Now with nearly 13 years of experience, Diddell will be focusing on enhancing partnerships in Open Options’ South Central region, which includes Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Western Tennessee.

“I’m excited to join a team with such a great company culture,” said Diddell. “Also, DNA Fusion is an excellent open architecture software platform that allows the dealer and end user to build solutions around many different technologies in the access control and video arenas.”

Brent Mucher is based in Sacramento and will be managing Open Options’ sales efforts in the Pacific Northwest territory, including Northern California, Oregon, Washington, and Western Canada. Mucher has been in the security industry for over 12 years holding various positions at Northern Video Systems, Tri-Ed, and Anixter.

“The camaraderie at Open Options as well as the true open architecture access control software made for an easy decision when asked to join the team,” said Mucher.

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
