Making Miles on the GSX Show Floor

The first day of any tradeshow seems to be a busy one. Mine was no different than yours, I presume.

My days are generally filled with visits to various booths as preplanned appointments are set up. I always enjoy my visits with all the company media staff and private PR teams. While there are plenty of new products to see, touch and examine, I like to spend the majority of my first day searching for new magazine articles that will be featured throughout 2020.

I have been able to set up great stories from the team at Axis Communications as Kristin Albano helps shepherd assignments throughout the Axis staff. As is the case with every issue, I think you will find their submissions educational and informative. Milestone also has a new staff member that I now interact with. There will be a few articles from their team that we will publish in 2020.

As a matter of fact, I met with Jerry Burhans on the opening day of GSX activities to have a look at ABLOY’s newest lock. It’s strong, durable and something you might want to consider for heavy duty projects. I also took advantage of one of the coolest perks of the three days, joining Jerry and the ABLOY team on Chicago’s Fair Lady and a spectacular cruising experience on the Chicago River. It was an amazing trip seeing the Chicago skyline and numerous historic and architecturally awesome sites.

Hope to see you all during Day Two of GSX as we all explore many more booths and products available within the commercial security industry.
