Free “Simplify PKI 2021” Virtual Cybersecurity Summit Runs March 10-11

Next week, AppViewX is hosting a free virtual cybersecurity summit, Simplify PKI 2021, a first-of-its-kind industry online event features insightful sessions from Gartner, Forrester, Google and other industry experts in the growing CCoE movement for next-gen certificate and key lifecycle automation and machine identity management. The free online event is slated for March 10-11.

Session subjects include certificate lifecycle management (CLM), automation, public key infrastructure (PKI), machine identity and critical industry trends. Simplify PKI 2021 is sponsored by AppViewX, a leader in certificate and key lifecycle automation, IoT and DevOps security solutions as well as machine identity management.

The explosive growth of hardware, hybrid cloud, apps and IoT environments need a new approach to the management of certificates and crypto keys where IT automation and workflows can help. More CIOs are turning to full lifecycle machine identity management platforms to drive intelligent automation in large, complex, multivendor certificate environments and diverse use cases like on-premises, IoT/IIoT, DevOps, and the hybrid cloud. By establishing automated processes, IT departments can ensure visibility, reporting, governance, and compliance consistently through their enterprise.

“Security operations teams and CISOs should always be ready to expect the unexpected – and rapidly scale to adapt,” said Gregory Webb, CEO, AppViewX. “Unrelenting attacks on enterprise networks are the new norm, so enterprises must bolster security to manage risk and operations to ensure trust and security. This can’t be done with outdated tools, processes or without the right maturity model for true, next-gen crypto agility. That’s what our inaugural Simplify PKI 2021 summit is for; to learn how.”

Speakers and sessions at Simplify PKI 2021 will examine trends around machine identity, CLM and PKI, and provide interaction for attendees to share, discuss and find ways to manage multiple certificates and keys in hybrid environments. Speakers include:

  • David Anthony Mahdi, Senior Director Analyst, Gartner
  • Sean Ryan, Senior Analyst Serving Security & Risk Professionals, Forrester
  • Anoosh Saboori, Product Manager, Cloud Security Platform, Google

  • From Surveillance to Intelligence

Years ago, it would have been significantly more expensive to run an analytic like that — requiring a custom-built solution with burdensome infrastructure demands — but modern edge devices have made it accessible to everyone. It also saves time, which is a critical factor if a missing child is involved. Video compression technology has played a critical role as well. Over the years, significant advancements have been made in video coding standards — including H.263, MPEG formats, and H.264—alongside compression optimization technologies developed by IP video manufacturers to improve efficiency without sacrificing quality. The open-source AV1 codec developed by the Alliance for Open Media—a consortium including Google, Netflix, Microsoft, Amazon and others — is already the preferred decoder for cloud-based applications, and is quickly becoming the standard for video compression of all types.
