Soloinsight Inc. Strengthens Commitment to Data Security with SOC 2 Compliance

Soloinsight announced May 28, they have become SOC 2 Type 1 certified. Along with existing controls and protocols, this new certification represents the company’s ongoing commitment to ensure the safety of customers' data.

SOC 2 (Service Organization Control), an accreditation developed by The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), sets the bar for SaaS companies that hold customer data in the cloud. Companies qualify by demonstrating best practices to ensure customer data privacy and security are safeguarded. The certification process begins with an intense security audit by an independent, third-party accounting and auditing firm. Over the course of a six-month audit, Soloinsight exhibited the controls they have in place to ensure the integrity of user data.

“At Soloinsight, our customer’s trust is what drives us to continuously review and improve our security processes,” stated Farhan Masood, president and CTO of Soloinsight. “Our focus has always been on providing our customers with excellent support and part of that commitment is ensuring we stay compliant on data security and privacy. Achieving SOC2 ensures just that while allowing our customers to focus on what matters most.”

Soloinsight follows security best practices to enable the development of more agile, creative and conforming products in response to customers’ ever-changing business needs. Receiving SOC 2 compliance further acknowledges Soloinsight’s continued commitment to security and user data privacy.

This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
