Let the Show Begin

Admission: I was not a fan of ISC West in July...in Las Vegas. There are pros and cons to a hot summer tradeshow.

Pro: Don’t have to wait in any lines to get a temperature screening.
Con: The show floor has no carpet, it’s hard as, well, concrete. My legs will never forgive me.
Pro: It’s much easier to navigate traffic on the show floor.
Con: Not too many attendees this year. More than last year though.
Pro: Protocols in place to protect against COVID-19.
Con: No one is wearing a mask and social distancing is a thing of the past. Seriously, has everyone here been vaccinated?
Pro: Vendor and both space get high marks. There is that saying of making lemonade from lemons. Everyone is making the effort for a successful show.
Con: Even coming from Texas, heat has taken on a completely new meaning.

Overall, this has been a good experience. After 18 months of isolation, it feels good to be out and about.

It seems that we’re throwing caution to the wind. Here’s hoping Day 2 is as productive.

Person detection is carried out within a radius of 80 meters from this device. Connected remotely via a portable computer device, it enables remote surveillance and does not depend on security staff patrolling the area.
