NTC Announces the '90-Day Online Training Bundle'

NTC leads the way in helping experienced, low-voltage technicians and beginning students prepare for a successful career in security and life safety

Not everyone can find the time to attend on-site training sessions. Since the advent of the Novel Coronavirus, the thought of sitting in a closed classroom with others can be daunting to some. National Training Center (NTC) of North Las Vegas has the answer: a 90-day online training bundle where over a 90-day period experienced professionals and beginning students can learn more about security, NICET and life-safety while studying for one of several NICET examinations if so desired.

Knowledge is power and nowhere is that as evident as in the security and life-safety markets. Since its inception in 2004, NTC has provided the finest in technical training for low-voltage installers and service technicians.

"We’ve gotten a lot of great feedback from our field technicians who have used the online training in the past year. They’ve all gone off and successfully taken their NICET exams!” said Stephanie Wlosinski with Davis-Ulmer of Amherst, NY.

Included in NTC's 90-Day Bundle are the following study regiments:

  • Level 1-4 NICET Fire Alarm Certification Online Training
  • All Security Systems Online Trainings
  • Fire Alarm Systems Online Training
  • NICET Water-Based Systems

For example, in the 90-Day online NICET Fire Alarm Online Training package, one user has full access to all study materials including videos for a 90-day period. This allows plenty of time to study for one or multiple levels of NICET Certification.

It also saves time, which is a critical factor if a missing child is involved. Video compression technology has played a critical role as well. Over the years, significant advancements have been made in video coding standards — including H.263, MPEG formats, and H.264—alongside compression optimization technologies developed by IP video manufacturers to improve efficiency without sacrificing quality. The open-source AV1 codec developed by the Alliance for Open Media—a consortium including Google, Netflix, Microsoft, Amazon and others — is already the preferred decoder for cloud-based applications, and is quickly becoming the standard for video compression of all types.
