Securitas names Byerly as President, Global Electronic Security, and Engelhardt as new President, Securitas Electronic Security Inc. in North America

Securitas continues to align organizational structures to intensify their focus on their electronic security (ES) and solutions growth strategy. Securitas AB has promoted Tony Byerly to President, Global Electronic Security. Kevin Engelhardt has been promoted to President, Securitas Electronic Security Inc. and Electronic Security Business Leader for North America.

Byler’s and Engelhardt’s appointments further strengthen the leadership for Securitas’ ES business globally and in North America, supporting Securitas’ stated ambition. In Byerly’s expanded role as president, Global Electronic Security, he will lead the global strategy solidifying electronic security specialization as he works with other Securitas leaders across the globe.

Byerly’s 30+ years of leadership and experience in the electronic security industry are backed by a long record of accomplishment, transforming businesses and profitability. In 2014, Byerly was inducted into the SSI security industry Hall of Fame and recognized as “the industry’s definitive builder of brands, businesses and teams” and “one of the most accomplished and influential executives in the modern security industry.”

Byerly reports to Magnus Ahlqvist, Securitas AB president and CEO, was named a member of Securitas Group Management in 2019. In Engelhardt’s expanded role as president, Securitas Electronic Security Inc., he will oversee the day-to-day leadership of SES throughout North America. In addition, as the Electronic Security Business Leader for North America, Engelhardt will support global electronic security growth strategies and clients across the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Formerly, Engelhardt served as COO for SES North America and prior to that as SVP Field Operations for Diebold Security, bringing more than 15 years of electronic security industry expertise. Engelhardt will continue to report to Byerly.
