If you had any concerns over foot traffic at ISC West, that worry has gone by the way.

The first two days have been nothing short of amazing. To top it off, exhibitors are saying the same thing.

David Price, Camden Door Controls, said not only were the number of registrants up, but the quality and truly interested were abundant. By the way, kudos to Price, his son just graduated top of class at McGill University in chemical engineering. He also was the student body president.

One of my chief goals in attending is new products, of course, but set up editorial material for coming months of Security Today magazine.

I’m excited for coming issues to print articles from Axis Communications, Hanwha Techwin, ASSA ABLOY, Genetec and many others.

By the way, happy birthday to Genetec for 25 years.

Two days roaming the show floor, and my highlight has been running into old friends I haven’t seen the past couple of years.

One of my favorite booth visits was with John Rezzonico CEO at Edge360. His brand is Surveill. Here’s the deal with John; he is a Marine, 18 years. He knows security, having put his life on the line so that we may continue to enjoy our freedom.

I’m certain there are more men and women in our midst these past three days who have served. I appreciate them.

A huge round of applause to SIA and tradeshow organizers for a remarkable experience, and to the solutions manufacturers who bring out their best.

One upside to Covid-19 has been the steady design and manufacture of new technology.

Great to see everyone. Safe travels home.

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
