Live From GSX 2022: Pre-Show Update

GSX 2022 is less than two weeks away, and the Security Today team is headed to Atlanta, Ga., to catch up on the security industry’s latest developments. Every year, through our “Live From” program, we partner with a few different vendors to bring the show floor experience straight to your doorstep. Whether you’re attending this year’s conference and looking for things to see and do, or staying home and living vicariously through us, keep an eye on our GSX Live 2022 home page for everything GSX-related!

This year, we’re proud to partner with three organizations and highlight their achievements to the rest of the industry. I’ll be checking in with AlertEnterprise (Booth 2625), Axis Communications (Booth 3343) and Vistacom Control Room Solutions (Booth 1508) multiple times daily to pass along anything and everything they have to share, including product demonstrations, video interviews, booth tours, happy hours and more!

In particular, here’s a preview of what our partner Axis Communications is bringing to Atlanta, courtesy of our partners at Axis:

Looking to demo the latest innovations to create a smarter, safer world? Axis Communications will feature its newest products and solutions at GSX 2022 including cutting-edge cameras featuring the ARTPEC-8 chipset, video analytics with actionable insight, proactive device management tools, new audio solutions, and more. Attendees can visit booth #3343 to meet with Axis experts and demo products and solutions firsthand. For a more personalized experience, Axis encourages visitors to book a dedicated booth tour.

Additionally, Axis’ subject matter experts are participating in several panels and presentations throughout the event.

On Monday, Bruce Canal, CPP, Segment Development Manager, Education will be participating in two panels to share his expertise in both K-12 and Higher Education. During his first panel, The Current State of School Security, Mr. Canal will join other industry experts and practitioners to discuss the different threats that schools around the world face and how to protect against them.

Mr. Canal’s second panel, Incorporating Security Technology into the Architectural Design Process, will cover why it is important to include your security plan into the development of any space. When you can include security experts into the design process, you are able to create a more cohesive system and preempt any shortcomings.

After listening to these panels, make sure to stop by the Axis Communications booth, #3343, to learn more about incorporating security into your design and how our solutions help keep schools safe. Our solution walls and demo areas will give you a hands-on look at how our solutions can help you improve the security of your space. If you have specific questions about these topics, make sure to book a tour ahead of time.

On Tuesday, James Stark, Segment Development Manager, Retail, co-sponsors a panel, Soft on Crime… Who Really Pays the Price When Everyone is at Risk? Mr. Stark’s extensive experience of the retail space helped create the basis for this panel discussion on the threats and challenges faced each day in a retail environment—looking holistically at the current environment including legislation and prosecution, and the repercussions.

Finally, James Marcella, Director of Industry and Associations, will present on Wednesday morning in a session entitled, Taking a Closer Look at Redaction – Balancing Privacy and Efficient Security, which will take a deep dive into the latest innovations in video surveillance and the privacy challenges that go along with them.

After participating in these sessions, Axis encourages attendees to visit Axis booth #3343 to learn more about their latest solutions to create a smarter, safer world.
