Welcome to Big D

I’ll admit it, I am partial. There is no better place to have a tradeshow event than Dallas. TEC 2023 caught the vision and brought it premier education and networking event to Big D.

True to its vision, PSA TEC delivers an educational program second to none with live sessions that focus on leadership, soft skills, operations, sales and technical sessions. This year, the focus on the power of the network, and the program included TECTalks.

Wondering how this worked, I enjoyed sitting around a table with manufacturers’ experts to learn more about products, solutions and best of all, what is likely coming down the road.

PSA also boasts specialty committees to benefit all integrators. Take for instance, cybersecurity. This committee provides educational programs and resources for integrators to assist them in navigating cybersecurity policy, process and solutions. PSA has established an Emerging Technology Committee to share knowledge, develop resources and establish industry best practices for the benefit of PSA integrators. The committee will investigate changes within the security industry and integrator challenges.

While there are nearly a dozen committees, the Nex Gen Leadership. The Next Generation Leadership Committee addresses the challenges PSA owners face in developing their next generation leaders.  The committee aims to help members become more competitive and profitable by providing guidance, education and knowledge sharing in key areas such as:

  1. Generational shifts in the workplace.
  2. Succession planning.
  3. Retention and development of high potential employees.
  4. Training newly promoted leaders.
  5. Promoting diversity and inclusion.

Let’s talk conferences for a moment. PSA does a great job of teaching, leading and networking. Here are a couple of events to look forward to this year. The Partner Roadshow will be held June 21, in Teaneck, NJ, and the PSA Convention 2023 in Maui from Oct. 9 to the PSA Grand Getaway, also in Maui on Oct. 12.
