New SASE Certification Program

MEF and CyberRatings unite to deliver confidence in CyberSecurity solutions

MEF, a global industry association of network, cloud, security and technology providers, and CyberRatings.org (CyberRatings), a research and security product testing organization, have partnered to launch a new Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) Certification Program for MEF technology and service provider members worldwide. Designed to increase market confidence in cybersecurity solutions, this new SASE certification program delivers assurance of security product effectiveness by providing a report card and rating for vendors' and service providers' SASE offerings.

The certifications for SD-WAN, Secure Service Edge (SSE) Threat Protection, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) will comprise the SASE certification package and are based upon CyberRatings' methodologies and test programs, and compliance to MEF standards. A robust testing and certification program is essential to ensure customers have visibility into what they’re buying.

Next week during MEF’s Global Network-as-a-Service Event (GNE) 2-4 October in Dallas, there will be further details announced around the new SASE certification beta program with specifics on which companies are participating and the availability to the MEF membership at large Q1 2024. This multi-day event will attract business leaders driving the global automated ecosystem delivering the next generation of value-added Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) offerings for enterprises.
