The California Alarm Association Launches Women In the Security Evolution (WISE)

The California Alarm Association (CAA) is excited to announce the launch of the Women In the Security Evolution, “WISE”, committee that is dedicated to supporting, empowering, and promoting women across all disciplines within the security industry spectrum of professional roles.

The groundbreaking inaugural launch of WISE occurred at the CAA 2023 Winter Convention and showcased the forward thinking of the association to inspire leadership and support of women in security. WISE will operate with a clear mission based on four cornerstones to enhance equality, visibility, accessibility and inclusivity for women within the electronic security industry with a notable aspect of ensuring gender neutrality for all to join. During the CAA convention, WISE was highly visible during key events and discussions including holding their founder’s meeting, being the panel for the executive symposium, delivering the keynote address, and leading several of the educational

sessions. Sean Cooke, CAA President, shared his enthusiasm; “The introduction of WISE is a pivotal step forward for the CAA and industry as a whole. In our journey towards inclusivity and diversity, WISE is positioned to navigate crucial steps for all of us.”
