Upping the Ante

I am not a betting man in terms of cards, dice, blackjack or that wheel with the black marble racing around the circumference of a spinning wheel, but I would bet on the success of ISC West this year.

In my travels throughout the exhibition area, not one unhappy booth owner did I see. Of course navigating the show floor was a welcome challenge.

I didn’t ask or see official attendance numbers but my count was close to 24,500 attendees and another 10,000 exhibitors.

Yes, there or new things in the security market to see and learn more about. There new hardware products and software solutions. More to come on this as we put together a recap of this event in the next two weeks.

We participated in something new the opening day of the event. I received an email from Judy Jones (NAPCO) about her desire to livestream a day at ISC West from her booth.

Our Brent Dirks took on the challenge. The traffic was heavy and Brent conducted at least six live interviews. From all reports, everything turned out just like it was supposed to.

Only one mishap and this one was on me.tried to grab a seat on one of those tall chairs. I didn’t make it and soon found myself on the concrete floor. My ego was bruised but the kind words and hands extended to help me up. Thank you men for helping me up.

This has been a great show and with a careful county, today should break a record.

I hope our meetings go as well today. I’m betting they will be fine.
