Brivo Integrates Actuate AI to Streamline Video Monitoring

New cloud-based integration aims to reduce false alarms and improve real-time threat detection for security monitoring centers.

Brivo announced an integration with AI video analytics provider Actuate to bring advanced monitoring capabilities to its security platform.

The partnership integrates Actuate’s artificial intelligence into the Brivo Security Suite, targeting improvements in remote video monitoring. The software is designed to identify specific threats in real time, including intruders, fire, smoke, loitering and crowd formations. It also features specialized detection for safety compliance, such as identifying the presence of hard hats.

Tijmen Vos, Brivo vice president of product, said the industry is shifting toward mission-critical AI applications. Vos noted that the integration provides a layer of intelligence for professional environments where accuracy and speed are essential.

The system aims to solve a common industry challenge: alarm fatigue. By using AI to filter out environmental triggers that cause false alerts, the technology allows security operators to focus on legitimate incidents.

"Remote video monitoring only works if operators can trust the alerts they receive," Actuate CEO Brian Leary said. He added that the integration helps monitoring teams move toward proactive surveillance by surfacing only the events that require human intervention.

The Actuate integration is now available as part of Brivo’s open platform ecosystem. The cloud-native solution allows business owners to manage various third-party AI tools and camera hardware through a single interface and business relationship.
