COPS Monitoring Promotes Kat Tallman to Executive Vice President

The 25-year veteran will oversee technology infrastructure and software development to enhance dealer support and system innovation.

COPS Monitoring has appointed Kat Tallman as executive vice president of software and technology, a move intended to streamline the company’s technical operations and dealer-facing innovations.

Tallman, who joined the company in 2000 as an alarm dispatcher, has spent more than two decades rising through the operational and technical ranks. Her career path includes roles as floor supervisor, dealer support manager and director of special projects. This internal progression provided her with a foundational understanding of monitoring center workflows and the specific needs of the company's dealer partners.

During her tenure in operations, Tallman spent eight years managing a specialized division where she oversaw staffing, technical support and shift management. She later transitioned into strategic roles, assisting with the migration of 250,000 accounts to the company’s proprietary platform and managing technical integrations during several high-profile acquisitions.

In her most recent roles as director and vice president of software development, Tallman acted as a project manager for the Generations software team. Her experience includes working with the Dice and Manitou monitoring platforms, as well as multiple iterations of COPS’ proprietary systems.

As executive vice president, Tallman’s portfolio expands to include the oversight of software development for the Generations and MPower platforms, network infrastructure, data integrity and cybersecurity. She will also manage vendor and product integrations, including API development. Her new role involves leading a team of approximately 20 professionals across multiple facilities.

The promotion underscores a strategic focus on integrating frontline operational experience with high-level technical execution to maintain service consistency for the company's national network of independent alarm dealers.
