1Kosmos CEO Named Entrepreneur Of The Year Finalist

The leader of a digital identity platform has been recognized for his role in advancing biometric authentication and identity verification technology.

The co-founder and CEO of 1Kosmos, Hemen Vimadalal, has been selected as a finalist for the Entrepreneur Of The Year 2026 New Jersey Award.

The awards program, conducted by Ernst & Young LLP, recognizes business leaders based on entrepreneurial spirit, company growth and impact. Vimadalal was chosen by an independent panel of judges for his work in the cybersecurity sector.

Since its founding in 2020, 1Kosmos has developed a platform designed to unify identity proofing and passwordless access. The technology focuses on binding digital access to a verified individual through biometrics rather than traditional credentials like passwords. This approach is intended to secure interactions for both human users and artificial intelligence agents.

The company currently provides identity assurance services for various sectors, including financial services, healthcare and the public sector. To date, the organization has raised more than $72 million in venture funding to scale its global operations.

Regional award winners are scheduled to be announced on June 4 during a ceremony in Jersey City. Those selected will move on to consideration for national awards in November.
