The Monitoring Association Elects 2026-2028 Board Members

Seven security and professional monitoring industry leaders have been chosen to guide the trade association’s strategic initiatives through 2028.

Seven industry leaders have been elected to serve on the board of directors for The Monitoring Association for the 2026–2028 term.

The trade association announced the election results for the leadership positions, with terms officially beginning following the organization's annual meeting in November.

The re-elected board members represent several major firms across the professional monitoring, security and technology sectors. The returning leadership includes Michael Picciola of ADT LLC as vice president, Justin Bailey of Becklar Monitoring as secretary and Richard Flores of Puget Sound Energy as the global security operations center board member. Brandon Niles of Acadian Monitoring Services LLC will continue as the contract monitoring board member, while Joey Rao-Russell of Kimberlite Corporation, doing business as Sonitrol, returns as the regional board member. David Charney of Everon and Joseph Pereira of Securitas Technology were also re-elected as at-large board members.

The newly elected board will oversee the association's strategic direction, manage industry programs and steer initiatives focused on public safety, education, advocacy and technological innovation within the security sector.

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
