Security platform developer CHeKT has launched an updated version of its core software, aimed at helping integrators and monitoring centers scale video security services for complex commercial properties.
The software update, CHeKT 6.0, introduces advanced system partitioning, allowing security providers to divide a single property into up to 16 independently controlled security zones. While partitioning is a standard feature in traditional hardware-based alarm systems, the update brings this capability to proactive cloud-based video security.
Under the new system, cameras, artificial intelligence analytics, alarm workflows and user permissions can be configured independently within each partition. This allows specific areas of a commercial property—such as inventory yards, loading docks or high-value storage zones—to remain armed and actively monitored while employees or vendors safely access other parts of the facility.
The release also unifies remote video monitoring services for Alarm.com, OpenEye and CHeKT connected camera deployments within a single monitoring portal. Currently in limited availability, the integration allows 24/7 central alarm stations to manage multiple camera brands through one interface. When a security event occurs, operators can access live video, site context, and remote command tools, such as two-way audio broadcasts, sirens, lighting and gate controls.
Additional features in the update include interactive multi-area site mapping for real-time situational awareness across large facilities, and session summaries that provide audit logs and incident response timelines. The platform also adds camera analytic metadata supervision to monitor whether edge analytics are actively functioning, alongside a bulk camera configuration tool to streamline large-scale installations.
