The new Siemens Acend Intelligent portfolio

Siemens Launches Connected Fire Safety Notification Portfolio

The new Acend Intelligent system utilizes cloud connectivity and silent testing to minimize operational disruptions in commercial buildings.

Siemens introduced a new smart fire safety notification portfolio designed to transform traditional fire alarms into digitally connected, data-driven systems.

The new product line, named Acend Intelligent, transitions fire safety notification from a reactive mechanism to an integrated system capable of reducing operational downtime. The technology targets industries requiring uninterrupted operations, including healthcare facilities, hospitality venues, commercial real estate and data centers.

The portfolio features built-in disturbance-free testing technology, which allows technicians to run comprehensive system checks without triggering audible horns or flashing visual strobes. Each connected device—including speakers, horns, strobes and combination appliances—can be monitored and activated individually to pinpoint faults quickly.

Facility managers and technicians can review system readiness remotely across all connected devices via cloud-based software, reducing the need for physical, in-person inspections. The system also includes isolation technology designed to keep the network running by isolating wiring faults while maintaining operation across the rest of the facility.

The system integrates directly with cloud-based applications for monitoring and diagnostics, allowing personnel to manage systems remotely and anticipate maintenance needs.

The hardware utilizes recycled materials and carries environmental performance labeling for sustainability transparency. The portfolio is manufactured for markets requiring UL certification standards, including the United States, Canada and specific regions in Latin America, the Middle East and Asia.
