Security 101 Details Expansion Ahead of GSX

The company completed six acquisitions and reorganized its regional management structure during 2026.

Six acquisitions have expanded Security 101’s operations across the western United States, Hawaii and the Carolinas while adding audiovisual integration capabilities.

The security integrator acquired Ford Industries in Salt Lake City, Blackhawk Security in Honolulu, True Security–East Bay in Northern California and Silverstrand Technologies in San Diego. Security 101 also acquired Secure Lock Solutions in West Columbia, South Carolina.

The transactions extend the company’s coverage across several markets, including San Francisco, San Jose, Sacramento, Orange County, Los Angeles, Riverside, Charlotte and Charleston. Blackhawk Security adds experience involving airports and critical infrastructure.

Security 101 also acquired AV-Worx, an audiovisual systems integrator that works with control rooms, emergency operations centers and advanced visualization systems. The acquisition expands the company’s services beyond electronic security integration.

As part of an organizational restructuring, Security 101 promoted Craig Shulman from chief financial officer to chief operating officer. He will oversee daily operations and the company’s field organization.

Jamie Vos was promoted to vice president of sales and operations for the West region. Mike Capra joined the regional sales organization in the South while John May joined in the North. Regional leadership will report to Shulman.

Security 101 now operates 62 branches and employs more than 1,000 people. The company reported that its revenue has nearly tripled during the past two years.

Security 101 plans to attend Global Security Exchange 2026 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
