Card Scanning Solutions' Snapshell FDA Camera Scanner combines scanning and OCR technology with Digimarc’s IDMarc digital watermark reading technology to authenticate IDs using embedded, tamperproof, digital watermarks. The watermarking contains digital data woven into the artwork of the card that is imperceptible to the human eye. The data is linked to other security features and images found on the ID so when a card is altered, the link is broken.
