The Spinpoint M7 from Samsung Electronics is a 2.5-inch hard drive that features a rugged base and cover design. The M7 is available in 250, 320, 400, and 500 GB capacities. A controller reduces power consumption in seek mode. It uses proprietary SilentSeek and NoiseGuard technologies to minimize the noise level of the mechanical drive operation. Other features include a 5,400 rpm spindle speed, an 8 MB cache, native command queuing and a 3 GBps SATA interface.
