Faronics’ Anti-Executable 4 application whitelisting software offers improved flexibility for administrators and users controlling workstations and servers as well as expanded reporting and visibility for files. The software halts advanced malware threats, such as zero day and targeted attacks including spear phishing, by only allowing approved applications to run and blocking the execution of other programs. The Identifile feature checks files against a signature database and reports on manufacturer name, file hash, version and whether the file is malicious.
