Product Release Guidelines

You have several ways to have your company's products highlighted at no charge in the editorial sections of Security Products, a news magazine featuring coverage of new product and services in the integrated security field. Each issue of Security Products magazine features product releases and photos submitted by manufacturers and dealers. These product announcements are not paid advertising, but editorial selections intended to inform our readers - installers, dealers, locksmiths, consultants, and industrial, service, retail, institutional and government end-users - about new products introduced to the market. Because our goal is to be the foremost source of information in the security products market, your products are important to us.

Editorial Guidelines

  • Clear, concise press release with at least 200 words of solid information describing new or innovative products. There is no limit on the number of product releases you may submit. We reserve the right to edit them for content and clarity.

  • Include a sales contact name, the company name, address, and telephone number for readers who would like further information concerning the product.

  • A color image of the product. Preferred images include color photos, slides, transparencies or electronic images. Electronic image files must have 300 dpi resolution and be at least three inches wide. Pre-printed photos, as in brochure, may be an acceptable substitute. Please limit the photos to the product described in the press release. You may send more than one photo of the product.

  • An editorial contact name and telephone number in case we need additional information.
