Patrick Fiel provides security consulting and risk assessment services to governmental agencies, school systems and corporations, focusing on the educational and healthcare industries. More than 35 years of security and law enforcement experience as a 22-year veteran of the United States Army, as Executive Director of School Security for the District of Columbia Public School System (DCPS) and as national Public Safety Advisor for ADT Security Services.

He recently served on the Electronic Security Association (ESA) task force which produced the ESA Electronic Security Guidelines for Schools, an aid for schools considering procurement of an electronic security system. The ESA released its guidelines in June 2013. Also served on the International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) task force which created the IAHSS Security Design and Renovation Guidelines for Healthcare Facilities, released in March 2012.

Fiel is a nationally known security expert routinely interviewed and quoted by national, regional and local media including television network and cable news outlets, magazines, daily print newspapers and radio stations.
