In his current position as Vice President of the Schools division, Jeff oversees a team of 8 employees working throughout the country at schools, colleges and universities. Jeff Solomon has served as a field supervisor, departmental Field Training Officer and a member of the Critical Response Unit (CRU) for the California State University Police. He has an extensive background in the complex field of public safety in the school environment. As the Chief of Police for the Grant School District Police Department, he was accountable for the safety of the 30,000 student population where he implemented various programs that remain in place today. During his seven year tenure at Grant, he was responsible for initiating the School Resource Officer program for the district as well as creating the curriculum for Grant’s successful Trek to Success program, a youth program that stresses team-building. Jeff has also worked as a Deputy Sheriff for the Placer County Sheriff’s Department.

Jeff Solomon earned a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice Management. He is a graduate of Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, Senior Management Institute for Policing in addition to the LAPD’s West Point Leadership Academy. Jeff has earned an Executive Certificate for California’s Peace Officer’s Standards and Training. In 2002, he was named the Law Enforcement Administrator of the Year by the California School Resource Officer’s Association, and, in 1998, he received a Meritorious Commendation Award for Life Saving as a member of the Grant School District Police Department.
