Views from ISC West Day 1

It's the most wonderful time of the year! ISC West is finally here and in full swing.

The doors to the expo hall opened up promptly at 10 a.m., letting the flood of attendees in to see what the security industry has for them this year. Don't worry, though, if you aren't at the show you can follow Security Today's live coverage of the event at securitytoday.com/live. Tune into our social zone to catch all the live views, updates and news from the show all conveniently located in one place.

My first day was extremely busy, bouncing from booth to booth having wonderful, productive conversations with security manufacturers and integrators. The excitement and pure passion for the new products and solutions was amazing to be apart of. Here's a few highlights from my day.

The first booth I visited was ReconaSense, a company that delivers next-gen access control and a converged physical security intelligence platform to help protect people, assets, buildings and cities. At the show, ReconaSense announced their newest partnership with EAGL Technology, a leader in ballistic detection and sensor technolog to provide a more proactive, intelligent approach to emergency management, before, during and after an active shooter event. This new integration is huge for the future of ReconaSense and its next-gen access control solution as it helps to perform intelligent lock-down protocols as well as inform the right people of an emergency event within seconds of detecting a threat. Make sure to stop by the ReconaSense booth 33091 at ISC West to get a demo of how ReconAccess can help in an active shooter situation.

My next stop was Salient Systems, a great company out of Austin, Texas — my neck of the woods! Attendees were buzzing around their booth, getting demonstrations of their CompleteView 20/20 security platform. With a newly redesigned interface, superior command and control tools, multi-point monitoring capabilities and seamless third-party integration for access control, Salient delivers a comprehensive management solution to meet anyone's security needs. CompleteView 20/20 has so many features, its hard to summarize it all in this article. See a full demo at Salient's ISC West booth, 26073.

Open Options, recently acquired by ACRE, was incredibly busy today showing off their DNA Fusion access control platform and its many, many integrations. This year at ISC West, Open Options is displaying Mercury Security's powerful new family of MR Series 3 Serial Input/Output (SIO) modules and LP Series controllers that extend integration capabilities, enhance cyber security and provide seamless upgrades for existing Mercury-based deployments. Be sure to stop by Open Options' booth 2103 and ask about the new Mercury Security MR Series as well as their integrations with ASSA ABLOY, HID, Vingtor-Stentofon and many more!

MOBOTIX, a manufacturer of secure IP video systems is celebrating 20 years of innovation at ISC West this year! At the booth attendees can see their latest smart IoT devices, industrial applications, technology partnership, cybersecurity initiatives and more on display. A total highlight of the booth is the IoT wall showcasing the flagship Mx6-Series Programmable Logic devices and their robust capabilities. Also, new to the booth is the MOBOTIX MOVE supplemental line. Ask about these solutions and more at MOBOTIX ISC West booth 16089.

Perhaps one of my most favorite booths of the day was STANLEY Security! Their two-story booth offers a new interactive experience and allows for a more in-depth booth visit for ISC West attendees. STANLEY Security is featuring so many innovative solutions at their booth, it is a hard one to pass up. From their thermal surveillance solutions, Cloud Access Control, business intelligence software and IntelAssure, a solution that can help detect issues with your video surveillance system — there's a little bit of something for everyone! Make time for STANLEY Security at ISC West booth 22015.
