APX Alarm Security Solutions Raises $120K for Children and Families

APX Alarm Security Solutions, Inc., one of the nation's largest residential security and home services companies, has raised nearly $120,000 this holiday season for children and families in need.

In its third consecutive year, the APX Sub for Santa program will help more than 1,800 underprivileged children and 450 families across North America. Employees personally donated approximately $60,000 and APX matched contributions. The $120,000 was used to buy presents, clothing, books and other necessities for children and families experiencing tough financial circumstances.

“Our struggling economy has affected so many families and children. APX is extremely proud of our employees' service and dedication to helping others. We are hopeful that our company efforts have provided needed relief for those in need this holiday season,” said Josh Houser, vice president of Service and director of the APX Family Foundation.

This past month, APX employees volunteered more than 2,000 hours of community service─shopping, wrapping, and delivering presents for those in need. In APX’s home state of Utah, the company also adopted Lincoln Elementary, a school where 93 percent of students live below poverty level. Each and every student is given a package that includes a toy, a book and two items of clothing.

“We are so grateful for APX’s contributions and compassion for the children of Lincoln Elementary School. So many of these kids go without even the most basic necessities. It’s unbelievably touching to watch the student’s faces as they are handed a gift of their very own,” said Karen Gregory, principal of Lincoln Elementary School in Salt Lake City.

Additional recipients of APX’s Sub for Santa Program included the Center for Women in Crisis, United Way referrals, and needy families that requested assistance through the APX Family Foundation.
