Eric D. Harris Named Managing Director for Stroz Friedberg's Dallas Office

International digital forensics, cybercrime response and electronic discovery firm Stroz Friedberg is pleased to announce the addition of data-intrusion expert Eric D. Harris as managing director in the firm's Dallas office.

In his new position at Stroz Friedberg, Harris supervises digital forensics, cybercrime investigations and e-discovery in criminal, civil, regulatory and internal corporate matters. His extensive experience in preventing and responding to data intrusion incidents has made him a trusted adviser to top executives, corporate counsel and law firms.

In his previous position as assistant general counsel at Princeton, N.J.-based Heartland Payment Systems, Harris played a key role in the investigation and resolution of one of the largest data breaches ever reported. He also handled claims by card brand associations and class-action plaintiffs in addition to providing guidance in state and federal regulatory inquiries.

Harris previously worked as legal and compliance vice president for Morris Plains, N.J.-based Fiserv EFT, where he advanced Fiserv's interests in the TJX data breach, which is believed to have affected thousands of consumers' credit card information.

"Eric's real-world experience responding to major data breaches and computer intrusions makes him a perfect fit at our firm and a valuable asset for our clients," said Stroz Friedberg Executive Managing Director and Deputy General Counsel Erin Nealy Cox, who heads the firm's Dallas offices.

Harris earned his bachelor’s degree at Gettysburg College before earning his law degree from Albany Law School of Union University. He studied international law in Beijing, Tokyo and Madrid. He remains active in the Association of Corporate Counsel, its Dallas-Fort Worth chapter, and the Texas General Counsel Forum.

Snap One has announced its popular Luma x20 family of surveillance products now offers even greater security and privacy for home and business owners across the globe by giving them full control over integrators’ system access to view live and recorded video. According to Snap One Product Manager Derek Webb, the new “customer handoff” feature provides enhanced user control after initial installation, allowing the owners to have total privacy while also making it easy to reinstate integrator access when maintenance or assistance is required. This new feature is now available to all Luma x20 users globally. “The Luma x20 family of surveillance solutions provides excellent image and audio capture, and with the new customer handoff feature, it now offers absolute privacy for camera feeds and recordings,” Webb said. “With notifications and integrator access controlled through the powerful OvrC remote system management platform, it’s easy for integrators to give their clients full control of their footage and then to get temporary access from the client for any troubleshooting needs.”
