GVI Brings New Line to Market

LG and electronics go hand-in-hand, but in the security industry, the company isn’t a household name. That’s about to change. GVI Security, headquartered in Carrollton, Texas, will be bringing LG security products to the market today.

GVI officials have announced a master distributor partnership with LG that will allow them to market and package the products as their proprietary line. LG security has been selling in the global market, but until now they haven’t been active in North America.

“This is a $50 billion company base in Seoul, Korea, that is excited to be part of this market,” said Steve Walin, president and CEO of GVI Security. “Our strategy is to do for LG what we previously had done for Samsung. Our plans are to work closely with LG to develop a product roadmap for North America. “We expect to fine tune the roadmap and bring LG full force into the security industry.”

LG has been actively involved in the security market in Asia, Europe and Latin America, and the GVI partnership now covers the rest of the market.

Walin said while he was traveling in Asia a few months ago, LG cameras and security products were just about everywhere.

“You know how it is in this industry, when you travel you look at the cameras,” Walin said. “That’s what I did and I was pleased to see this product in use.”

The Korean company picked GVI as its master distributor because they have people on the ground, and can continue their aggressive sales approach with a well-known product. GVI will take advantage of product promotions and use their company sales representatives to continue their track record of success in the security space.

“We have the wind at our back and the security market is reviving,” Walin said. “It’s good to have such a great product and premier staff to take to ISC West and show off our new product lineup.”
