Great Britain Under Security

For a third time, I’ve been given the opportunity to take a look at security from the British point of view. I will be attending IFSEC next week, joining our sales representative Sam Baird for a unique flavor of security.

There’s nothing like IFSEC, but, then again, there’s nothing quite like ISC West. The two are similar in scope and mission, but there are differences. The Asian venders are out in full force, but then again, so are manufacturers from Eastern Europe and Russia.

This year IFSEC has launched an independent educational centre in conjunction with Tavcom Training for everyone involved in security aimed at helping YOU understand what IP is, the benefits and of course its limitations.

Visitors can come and listen to a series of informative lectures and take part in informal sessions that puts into pictures the limitations and benefits of today’s technologies.

Thanks to our sponsors, listed on this e-news newsletter. Without them, much of what we do wouldn’t be possible.

IFSEC also features the Intelligent Integration Zone. This is sponsored by Intergrated Security Manufacturing Ltd, a firm that plays in the development of graphical security control management systems. IIZ sounds like an interesting venue, and applies to installers, manufacturers, distributers, IT integrators, consultants and end users.

I look forward to reporting from Birmingham, England, and giving you the latest updates from our friends in the United Kingdom. Our next issue of the IFSEC E-News will be sent to you May 17, with two issues following during the tradeshow, and one a few days later to recap the entire event
