Vordel appoints Dick Agin as Regional Sales Director for U.S. Central

Vordel, a provider of gateways for SOA and cloud computing, announced the appointment of Dick Agin, who joins the company a Texas-based regional sales director for the Central U.S. Agin’s experience includes domestic and international sales management positions at Salesforce.com, BEA Systems, TIBCO Software, USinterworking Inc. and Motorola among others spanning more than 25 years of industry experience. Agin’s appointment will enable Vordel to further its North American expansion and focus on the U.S. Central region. Currently, the U.S. represents about 50 percent of the company’s business with customers including the U.S. Departments of Justice and Homeland Security, Bell Canada and FAA among others.

Agin joins Vordel from Salesforce.com, where he was a global account manager responsible for the media and communications industry group covering accounts in Texas, Arkansas and Colorado. Prior to Salesforce.com he was an area director for emerging technologies with BEA Systems responsible for sales, as well as developing and executing sales and marketing strategy for BEA’s virtualization products throughout the Americas. In a previous role at BEA Systems, he was responsible for integration and SOA products focusing on the South Central U.S. and Latin American regions. Prior to this position, Agin held the role of global alliance director at TIBCO Software Inc. with a global leadership responsibility for all indirect sales, go-to-market strategies, training, support and service.
