Diebold Expands Security Relationship With Keybank

Diebold Inc. and KeyBank continue to enhance security for the financial institution's consumers, employees and key assets via a variety of recent electronic security implementations. As KeyBank's strategic partner for electronic security solutions, Diebold has installed numerous access control, intrusion detection, alarm, surveillance and security solutions in just the past year. Integrated into KeyBank's security management network, these solutions are helping to mitigate security threats across the bank's enterprise, including its branches and corporate offices.

With headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, KeyCorp is one of the nation's largest bank-based financial services companies. Under the name KeyBank National Association, it serves individuals and small businesses in 14 states via a network of more than 1,000 full-service branches, nearly 1,600 automated teller machines (ATMs) and a variety of mobile-, Web- and phone-based solutions.

During its long relationship with KeyBank, Diebold has installed and implemented countless alarm devices and panels, access control systems, surveillance cameras and other electronic security solutions for the institution. Leveraging Diebold's leading security expertise in the financial industry, KeyBank continues to embrace new technologies that advance its ability to detect, investigate and mitigate threats. For example, select KeyBank security installations include protection via megapixel technology, contactless card technology and a ubiquitous alarm and access control solution across KeyBank's enterprise.

"KeyBank is committed to incorporating advanced security technologies into our branches and offices to ensure we provide the highest level of safety for our customers, executives, employees and assets," said Stephanie Clarke, director, physical security solutions, KeyBank, who also serves as vice chair of the American Bankers Association Bank Security Committee. "Through our strategic alliance with Diebold, KeyBank continues to investigate and implement advanced security solutions and service opportunities to further enhance safety throughout our enterprise."

With Clarke's emphasis on layered security, KeyBank is taking an aggressive, methodical approach to securing its enterprise. Her focus on process improvement, efficiency, detection and crime prevention has led the path to a clear technology roadmap that also enhances the speed at which law enforcement can capture criminals.

Among the solutions Diebold has implemented on behalf of KeyBank are a host of multi-layered ATM security solutions that optimize safety for consumers. From advanced skimming mitigation solutions to recessed displays to encrypted communication protocols and more, Diebold and KeyBank are combating the three major ATM threat categories -- fraud, physical attacks and logical attacks. KeyBank's fleet of almost 1,600 ATMs includes a majority of Diebold Opteva ATMs.

"Through Diebold's consultation and partnership with KeyBank, as well as our integration and related services, we are delivering the next generation of security solutions to KeyBank," said Tony Byerly, executive vice president, electronic security, Diebold. "Every year, we look forward to reviewing the bank's security challenges and developing specific action plans to address those challenges. Our close relationship enables Diebold to customize solutions and implementations based on KeyBank's specific market needs."
