Quantum Secure Reports Approval of Patent on Core Technologies

A new U.S. patent for Quantum Secure covers important aspects of Flagship SAFE Enterprise Software Suite.

Quantum Secure, the leading provider of enterprise software to manage and streamline security identities, compliance and events across disparate physical security systems, announces approval of a U.S. patent covering core elements of the company's SAFE enterprise software suite.

The U.S. Patent (Patent Number: US 8,234,704 B2), which covers “Physical Access Control and Security Monitoring Systems for Enforcement of Standardized Rules,” encompasses elements fundamental to the company's SAFE software suite, including integration of data and events to and from physical access control and security monitoring systems and a rules-based policy engine that enforces security policies and generates actionable events.

The patent also covers presentation of signals from disparate security devices in a common standard format, and system response that includes generating an alarm, alerting official personnel and/or preventing access to an area of a site based on signal data.

“Approval of our patent application is a historic moment for Quantum Secure because this intellectual property forms the basis of key elements of our SAFE platform,” said Ajay Jain, president and CEO of Quantum Secure. “Granting of this patent confirms the importance and impact of innovations that are integral to the company and are a testament to the value we can bring to customers as they elevate their security operations to new levels of effectiveness.”

Quantum Secure's SAFE enterprise software suite is a comprehensive physical identity management solution designed to work with existing security infrastructure with highly customizable workflow capabilities in order to streamline processes such as issuing ID badges, managing disparate databases, responding to terminations or changing work duties and assigning access privileges across multiple physical and logical systems.

Using Quantum Secure's SAFE suite, customers can minimize the time, cost and effort of managing physical security, automate key processes and simplify risk management of employees, vendors and third-party identities across a global organization.
