2013 Training Schedule for Fire-Lite Alarms

For Fire-Lite training, course attendance is at an all-time high, and online training is expected to increase over the next year.

Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell has announced its schedule of fire alarm trainings to be held in more than 50 cities across the U.S. throughout 2013. The hands-on sessions comprise a free introductory products course and a more advanced software applications training. Plans to expand Fire-Lite Alarms’ library of online trainings are also in the works. All courses are accredited with the Electronic Security Association for Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits.

“Course attendance for the last year has hit an all-time high,” stated Tom Rosa, Fire-Lite Alarms training supervisor. “I think it has to do with the growing demand in the market for a truly non-proprietary fire system, along with personal, classroom instruction with hands-on training that makes these courses so popular.”

Beginning in January, the two-day Fire-Lite Systems course will include instruction on the latest fire alarm and emergency communications systems that will be introduced sometime in 2013. Attendees of this course will earn 1.6 CEUs. A more advanced, one-day Fire-Lite Software Applications course which qualifies participants for 0.7 CEUs, will also be available.

“As the word got out about our online training, the rate of those course completions rose steadily,” said Rosa. “We’ve gotten some good feedback on these courses and some good topic suggestions so we’re definitely going to grow that online resource in the coming year.”
