OnSSI New Ocularis X Mobile Video Solution

OnSSI New Ocularis X Mobile Video Solution

Whether patrolling a facility, on the city beat or travelling, video surveillance users are much more likely to be in front of their mobile device than any other screen. And, when an incident occurs, their ability to accurately gauge the situation and take action depends on the quality of the video they receive.

OnSSI New Ocularis X Mobile Video SolutionNow, mobile video surveillance users can still maintain the highest awareness of incidents with OnSSI’s first-in-the-industry Ocularis-X video delivery and control solution for mobile and web access.

The new Ocularis-X Mobile application for handheld devices enables the monitoring of live and recorded HD video streams at full resolution and frame rate, from up to 16 megapixel cameras over limited bandwidth networks (3G/4G, broadband and Internet).

What makes OnSSI's Ocularis-X work so well is its innovative High Definition Interactive Streaming (HDIS) Technology. It enables delivering multiple HD video streams with no reduction in image resolution or smoothness of playback, with full control over each camera stream. To the user, the look and feel is the same as OnSSI’s award-winning Ocularis Client.

“We’re inviting all our clients to let Ocularis mobilize their security,” said Gadi Piran, president and CTO, OnSSI. “Ocularis-X technology provides the unique ability to access multiple megapixel cameras simultaneously through the fastest mobile and web clients, from virtually any location. Ocularis-X Mobile is the fastest, handheld, video delivery solution in the industry today, period. Coupled with Ocularis-X Web, they pack a powerful punch which is making our world a little easier to protect.”

Through its use of HDIS technology, Ocularis-X eliminates the longstanding compromises caused by delivering multiple camera streams to mobile devices over 3G/4G connections—compromises that are compounded when delivering bandwidth-intensive HD video. With Ocularis-X, all video streams are sent to users at their original high frame rate, and no image resolution is lost. Users are able to zoom into an HD image of a vehicle and zoom in on its license plate, or catch the split-second a thief has stolen a laptop. The result is superior detection of incidents and identification of culprits, never before available to mobile device users over low-speed connections.

Ocularis-X Mobile and Ocularis-X Web provide a practical, high-performance means of delivering high-speed, high-resolution, multi-camera video to clients who use VSaaS (Video Surveillance as a Service) or cloud-based, video-delivery solutions.
