Special Events at ISC West 2013

As the excitement of ISC West 2013 gets underway with booth demonstrations of new and exciting security products, interactions between old friends, meeting new friends, and learning about the security industry, don't let all the special events slip your mind.

Beginning on Wednesday April 10, show attendees are invited to a variety of events, ceremonies, announcements and presentations. Begin your day at 8:45 in Room #502 by listening to a panel of industry leaders, service providers and thought leaders share their findings on what it will take to be a security leader in 2020. Afterwards, stroll on down to the Exhibit Hall entrance to witness the grand opening ceremony sponsored by Ingersoll Rand at 9:50am. Later, at 3:00pm, on the Lobby's main stage, listen to SIA NPS Judges announce the winners of the Product Achievement Awards along with other honorary mentions. Consider staying in this area from 4-5:00pm to see who will be honored as America's fastest growing systems integrators. Then, be sure to get a good night's rest because Thursday is run/walk day!

On Thursday, April 11 at 7:30 am, The Security 5K Run/2K Walk commences, providing a chance for the security industry to come together to achieve a common goal…helping children in need. This heartwarming event encourages all security professionals to run or walk, with all proceeds donated to Mission 500, a non-profit organization determined to sponsor and save children. Later in the afternoon, at 4:30pm ISC West is sponsoring the first-ever, in-person meeting for LinkedIn's Security Industry Group. This is an extraordinary way to meet all your cyber friends face-to-face, and do a little networking. Finally, wrapping up the day will be The Security 5K Run/2K Walk awards ceremony on the Lobby Main Stage at 5:15pm. Come celebrate the success!

As the conference comes to an end, don't forget about the 10th Annual Security Industry Association Ride for Education at 9am on Saturday, April 13 that raises money for the SIA First Responders Scholarship. This scholarship awards $1,000 to law enforcement officers and firefighters for job-related education and training. So, rev up that Harley of yours and visit some of the most scenic sites in Nevada…all for a great cause!
