Boon Edam Inc to Launch a New Security Door Software at ASIS International

Boon Edam, Inc., a manufacturer of security entrance solutions in North America, is proud to announce the launch at ASIS International of the first ever fully integrated technical diagnostics and configuration software for a security revolving door, called Boon Edam Inc to Launch a New Security Door Software at ASIS InternationalBoonConnect. Effective immediately, BoonConnect is now a standard feature of the Tourlock 180+90 security revolving door.

BoonConnect Features

The BoonConnect software is accessible via an LCD touchscreen that is built directly into the endpost on the secure side of the Tourlock 180+90. A facility manager or door technician accesses the software by simply touching the LCD screen on the endpost of the secure side of the door and entering a username and password. BoonConnect provides a suite of features as follows:

  • Configurable Security Modes – Facility Managers can set different security modes to be operate during certain hours of the day or days of the week. For example, the door can be card in/free out during business hours, card in/card out in the evenings, and locked on weekends.
  • Diagnostic Status – Maintenance technicians can quickly check the status of the door’s sensors, door wing alignment and tuning, motor and logic controller through the LCD touchscreen without having to remove ceiling parts to access the electronic systems.
  • Self-Diagnostics and Notification – BoonConnect constantly monitors the operations of the door and can send emails to the appropriate parties when the door has rotated a certain number of times (time for maintenance) or when sensors or other systems experience a malfunction after a certain number of minutes.

BoonConnect will be installed on a Tourlock 180+90 security revolving door in Boon Edam’s Booth #205 at ASIS International in Chicago (September 24-26) for live demonstrations.
