PPM to Offer Major Integration Promotion at ISC West

PPM 2000 will be launching a special Spring Promotion at this year’s ISC West show for all integration projects incorporating their Perspective incident management software. New and existing customers will have the opportunity to enhance their end-to-end incident management while lowering costs, a double benefit to both security and business operations.PPM to Offer Major Integration Promotion at ISC West

“Recognizing the importance of cross-platform solutions, we designed Perspective to integrate with other security systems and to be open to custom development for unique applications,” said Brian McIlravey, CPP, Co-CEO, PPM. “With this promotion, we hope to motivate end users to consider the objectives of incident management and what can be achieved with creative thinking and a commitment to interaction, communication, and integration.”

With this promotion, PPM customers will save 20% on any Perspective integration project purchased before May 30, 2014. In addition, PPM will offer an extra 20% off their new Perspective Connectorsfor AMAG Symmetry, Code Blue EMS and Lenel OnGuard for a total savings of 40%. New Perspective users will get one Connector for free and save an extra 20% on all others. The promotion will run from April 1, 2014 to May 30, 2014.

Using Perspective to integrate with other security systems enables those systems to feed incident data directly to Perspective, providing more actionable insights to reduce risk and speed response. By centralizing the data in Perspective, users can view and manage inputs from multiple sources including emergency planning, situation management, and business intelligence systems. The solution accelerates data entry, improves access to information, and reduces duplication by bringing all aspects of the user’s incident management program into a single, consolidated process. Response, reporting, and analysis of security incidents are expedited and improved. Perspective can be integrated with any application, and both customers and prospects are encouraged to contact their account manager to help define and create new integrations.

PPM developed Perspective, their end-to-end enterprise solution, to address the unique needs of both operations and investigations. By sharing event data and related information, both security disciplines can collaborate to identify trends, take meaningful action, and reduce risk.

  • From Surveillance to Intelligence

Years ago, it would have been significantly more expensive to run an analytic like that — requiring a custom-built solution with burdensome infrastructure demands — but modern edge devices have made it accessible to everyone. It also saves time, which is a critical factor if a missing child is involved. Video compression technology has played a critical role as well. Over the years, significant advancements have been made in video coding standards — including H.263, MPEG formats, and H.264—alongside compression optimization technologies developed by IP video manufacturers to improve efficiency without sacrificing quality. The open-source AV1 codec developed by the Alliance for Open Media—a consortium including Google, Netflix, Microsoft, Amazon and others — is already the preferred decoder for cloud-based applications, and is quickly becoming the standard for video compression of all types.
