Ocularis from OnSSI Adds Support for Intelligent Video Analysis Events from Bosch IP Devices

The strategic partnership between Bosch Security Systems and OnSSI has resulted in new integration capabilities with the Ocularis IP video surveillance and security platform. Ocularis 4.0 now supports Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA) events delivered from Bosch IP devices.

Embedded in many of the latest IP and HD cameras from Bosch, IVA assists operators by alerting them when predefined alarms, such as loitering or line crossing, are triggered. Ocularis can receive these events from the Bosch IP device and integrate them into the system’s workflow. This ensures that IVA alerts reach the right people within the organization for proper handling.

“At Bosch, our focus is on creating intelligent IP video solutions that fit the needs of the customer, and this includes delivering advanced analytic capabilities embedded in our IP cameras,” said Brad Eck, integration manager, North America. “With the ability to alert operators to activities that require their attention, IVA provides earlier detection of potential risks. Combining this technology with the event fusion capabilities of the Ocularis platform enables end users to more efficiently respond to incidents – enhancing overall safety and security.”

Bosch and OnSSI work together to continually enhance capabilities for mutual customers. Additional Bosch features already supported by the Ocularis platform include edge recording to prevent loss of video during network or server failures, intelligent Dynamic Noise Reduction to lower bit rates and therefore bandwidth and storage requirements for IP cameras, as well as multi-streaming, tamper and motion detection, and more.

“The integration between OnSSI’s intelligent VMS and Bosch cameras is one more positive step we are making in the move towards prevention,” said Moshe Levi, product manager, OnSSI.  "The earlier we can detect real-time threats, determine their risk level and enable response through the intelligent features of Ocularis and Bosch’s IVA, the more we can avert the occurrence of adverse incidents.”
