STANLEY Security Announces TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Program Now Available for Higher Education

STANLEY Security, a manufacturer and integrator of comprehensive security solutions for a wide range of industries, announces this year's TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program, now open to the higher education market.

In its second year, the STANLEY Security TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program will provide the opportunity to enhance safety and security in the nation's approximately 4,500 higher education institutions by awarding winning schools a share of at least $500,000 in STANLEY Security installed products and services. Any higher education institution – both public and private, from smaller community colleges to large-scale campus environments across the U.S. – is eligible to participate.

In addition to the $500,000 provided by the grant, STANLEY Security pledges to raise the value of the TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS grant by $50 for every visitor to the company's booth (#1911) at the 2014 ASIS International 60th Annual Seminar & Exhibits, September 29-October 1 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA, in lieu of giving away promotional items at the booth.

"We're proud to be able to continue our TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program this year by focusing on our nation's higher education institutions," said Kyle Gordon, Director of Higher Education Market Solutions – North America for STANLEY Security. "At STANLEY Security, our passion and commitment to campus safety is unparalleled in this industry. As a partner to over 2,500 colleges and universities across the U.S., we value the opportunity to learn from these institutions about how we can assist them in offering safer and more secure educational campus environments so students, faculty and staff can thrive.

The TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program is just another demonstration of STANLEY's long-standing dedication to the present and future of our nation's colleges and universities."

Offerings provided to grant winners include consultative security services, access to STANLEY Security's premier Software Solutions Group (SSG) and seminars for school officials on security threat assessment and advanced Clery Act training offered by STANLEY Security partner and campus security experts, D. Stafford & Associates. Turn-key installations available to winners can be any STANLEY Security product or solution, including access control solutions, video surveillance systems, fire systems, intrusion systems, mechanical and electro-mechanical door hardware, mass notification systems and other security technologies.

Beginning October 7 - November 18, key decision makers at any U.S. higher education institution – including college or university Presidents, Vice Presidents, Directors, Deans, Chancellors, Chiefs of Police, Security Directors or Directors of Public Safety – can nominate their campus for the grant program online by visiting www.stanleysaferschools.com.

Starting January 19 and running through February 12, 2015, once nominations have been finalized, students, faculty, administrators and members of the campus community can vote for their school daily via the voting website, SMS text messaging or Twitter. Colleges and universities with the first and second-most votes across three tiers of campus size – under 8,000 students, between 8,000-19,999 students and over 20,000 students – will be selected as grant winners, for a total of six winners total. Winners will be announced on March 3, 2015.

"We're thrilled that we're able to announce the launch of the TOGETHER FOR SAFER SCHOOLS Grant Program at ASIS 2014, the premier tradeshow for safety and security services, technologies, and trends," Gordon said. "We're excited for the opportunity to receive feedback from the thousands of security professionals who will be in attendance, and look forward to learning how STANLEY and our industry colleagues can continue to improve safety and security for all institutions of higher education."
