Drone with Radiation Symbol Lands on Government Official's Office

Since the 2011 Fukushima nuclear power plant disaster, this station has lain dormant; however, a court-approved restart has been issued. Ironically, on the same day, a small drone bearing the mark of a radiation symbol landed on the roof of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s office. It was discovered around 10:20am.

According to various reports, the drone was about 50 centimeters in length and carried a small camera, water bottle and flair along with a small canister. The drone was analyzed by police who discovered extremely low levels of radiation, so low that it wouldn’t affect a human body.

Officials don’t know what the purpose of the drone actually was, but given the radiation symbol on its chassis, one can assume that it was in protest of restarting nuclear power facilities in Japan. Abe has pushed for them to be brought back online even though thousands of citizens have rallied against his plans.
