OpenXchange Delves into the Changing Landscape of the Electronic Security & Life Safety Industry

The Electronic Security Expo (ESX)—the national trade event where electronic security and life safety dealers, integrators, and monitoring professionals connect, learn, and prepare for the future—has announced the panelists and topics for the ESX 2015 OpenXchange.

Moderated by George De Marco, ESX chairman, the ESX 2015 OpenXchange will examine IoT, next-gen cellular networks, disruptive technologies and more. This lively panel discussion will examine what is likely to happen from a technology standpoint and how it will impact the electronic security and life safety industry.

De Marco says attendees will receive insights on how security will tie into the IoT, including the types of devices they can expect to see and how it will all operate. They’ll hear what is likely to come next after 3G and 4G technology. They’ll learn how the emerging communications protocols will affect end users, security/life safety integrators and monitoring stations. And they’ll be introduced to disruptive technologies and ideas that will help them rethink the future of their companies.

“Our goal is to generate relevant and useful ideas that will keep our companies on the cutting edge of emerging technology and keep us competitive in today’s rapidly changing landscape,” said De Marco.

Panelists will be:

Rod Coles, CEO Bold Technologies

Coles has been in the monitoring software industry for nearly 35 years. Since 1999, he’s been responsible for the development and design of the complete Bold product line. In 2014, with Chuck Speck, he formed White Rabbit Electronics, a company that produces a unique security system with smart home controls.

Syed Zaeem Hosain (“Z”), Chief Technical Officer, Aeris Communications, Inc.

Hosain is responsible for the architecture and future direction of Aeris Communications’ networks, development programs and technology strategy. He has over thirty-five years’ experience in the semiconductor, computer and telecommunications industries, including product development, architecture design and technical management.
