Samsung Showcases WiseNet Lite Cameras and IP Kits at ASIS 2015

Demonstrating its commitment to delivering innovative solutions that provide extreme value and performance for users and resellers alike, Samsung Techwin America is demonstrating its WiseNet Lite IP Cameras and IP Kits at this year’s ASIS (booth # 1729). With a wide variety of configurations, Samsung’s WiseNet Lite cameras and IP Kits ensure that SMBs can find the solution they need at the price that works within their budget.

“With their exceptional performance and ground-breaking low price points, our WiseNet Lite cameras and IP Kits are changing the way we look at video surveillance by combining exceptional performance and value that is unparalleled in the industry,” said Tom Cook, vice president of Sales, North America, Samsung Techwin America. “Additionally, these innovative kits provide SMBs with the ability to deploy a state of the art video surveillance solution that may otherwise be price prohibitive.”

Available in a variety of styles and configurations that offer either 1.3 MP or 2 megapixel Full HD resolution, Samsung’s WiseNet Lite cameras feature 60dB Digital Wide Dynamic Range (DWDR) and Lens Distortion Correction (LDC), which compensates for image distortion that can occur with wide angle lenses. WiseNet Lite cameras also offer the ability to record anytime and anywhere via built-in SD card slot or NAS direct recording capability. Automatic Remote Backup (ARB) will back up and restore video from SD memory upon video loss due to network disruption. Users can also perform backup manually as needed. WiseNet Lite bullet IR and indoor dome IR cameras are equipped with either fixed or varifocal lenses, while indoor dome cameras include a fixed lens, and outdoor dome IR cameras feature a varifocal lens.

WiseNet Lite cameras also offer a Hallway View feature, which provides 9:16 ratio coverage of narrow aisles and passageways. Users can rotate camera lenses by 90° and video in the web viewer by 90°/270°. Monitoring zone optimization reduces bandwidth and storage requirements, further enhancing the cost-effectiveness of the new WiseNet Lite line. Other key features of the new WiseNet Lite cameras include: motion and tamper detection; true Day/Night performance; ONVIF conformance; and IP66 and IK10 ratings with an ambient operating temperature as low as -30° F (outdoor models only) except SNO-L6013.

The new WiseNet Lite camera line includes 10 cameras in four camera styles:

  • Indoor domes (SND-L5013 ,SND-L6013), and SND-L6012;
  • Indoor domes with infrared illumination (SND-L5083R, SND-L6013R and SND-L6083R);
  • Outdoor domes with infrared illumination (SNV-L5083R and SNV-L6083R); and
  • Bullet cameras (SNO-L5083R, SNO-L6013R and SNO-L6083R).

The WiseNet Lite 2 Megapixel Full HD Network IR Dome Camera (SND-L6013R) is also at the heart of Samsung’s IP Kits. These plug-and-play “surveillance systems in a box” are available in four configurations to ensure there’s a bundled solution to fit virtually any end user’s security and budgetary requirements. All four kits include WiseNet Lite 2 Megapixel Full HD Network IR Dome Cameras (SND-L6013R) and an NVR, while the SRK-3030S kit also includes the SNF-8015 5 Megapixel Fisheye Camera.

The four IP Kit configurations are:

SRK-3030S – 2 SND-L6013R cameras, 1 SNF-8010 5 and a four-channel 1TB NVR;

SRK-3040S – 4 SND-L6013R cameras and a four-channel 1TB NVR;

SRK-4060S – 6 SND-L6013R cameras and an eight-channel 2TB; and

SRK-5120S – 12 SND-L6013R cameras and a 16-channel 3TB NVR.

  • The Future is Happening Outside the Cloud

    For years, the cloud has captivated the physical security industry. And for good reason. Remote access, elastic scalability and simplified maintenance reshaped how we think about deploying and managing systems. But as the number of cameras grows and resolutions push from HD to 4K and beyond, the cloud’s limits are becoming unavoidable. Bandwidth bottlenecks. Latency lags. Rising storage costs. These are not abstract concerns. Read Now
