ONVIF Hosts 2015 Member Meeting

The company provided an update on activities and accomplishments over the years

ONVIF hosted its annual membership meetings and elections, where the company provided an update on activities and accomplishments over the past year. Some items that were discussed include the development and publication of two new profiles, the launch of a false conformance reporting tool on the ONVIF website and the organization’s ongoing membership and growth in conformant products.

ONVIF Steering Committee Chairman Per Björrkdahl discussed the company’s growing acceptance in the industry.

“ONVIF has made incredible strides since our formation in 2008,” Björkdahl said. “Together, we have developed five profiles, offered education and networking opportunities to thousands of people and have gained broad acceptance within the physical security industry. Above all, we a member-driven group, so we thank all of our members for their hard work and dedication,” said Björkdahl.

Mayur Salgar of Honeywell was named to the Steering Committee, as well as Kim Loy of Pelco by Schneider Electronic.
