Airport Worker May Have Put Bomb on Russian Plane

A new report suggests someone working at the Egyptian airport may have smuggled the bomb aboard Metrojet Flight 9268

Flights from Russia to Egypt have been suspended after a suggestion from Alexander Bortnikov, the head of Russia’s Federal Security Service. This comes almost a week after the fatal Metrojet Flight 9268 crash in which authorities now believe a bomb could have been the source of the explosion.

Perhaps more troubling, a new report suggests the bomb was planted by an airport worker out of the Egyptian hotel in Sharm el-Sheikh. Egyptian authorities resist this claim, citing worries about their tourism industry.

Roughly 20,000 British citizens are stranded in the resort as British government works on ways to get them home safely.
