U.S. Airports with the Highest and Lowest Security Satisfaction

AirportXP, a mobile experience tool, revealed in late December the U.S. airports with the highest and lowest security checkpoint satisfaction. The app allows travelers to share their experiences at the 250 busiest U.S. airports and the research, based on 144,600 air travelers evaluating over 200 airports nationwide from July to November of 2015, shows various levels of satisfaction with airport security throughout the country.

Overall, Flint Michigan’s Bishop International, was shown to have the highest rate of traveler satisfaction regarding security checkpoints, with nine out of ten passengers pleased with the process.  Adversely, less than half of travelers are satisfied at Honolulu International Airport.

Below is a breakdown of the top three airports, with the highest satisfaction levels regarding security practices, in large, medium and small categories. (Size based on passenger volume and classified by the Federal Aviation Administration.)
