InfraGard to Colocate Annual Conference at ASIS 2016 and (ISC)2 Security Congress

InfraGard National Members Alliance (INMA) has announced that its 2016 Annual Congress and Conference will be part of a historic joint Conference with ASIS International and (ISC)2. In an unprecedented move, InfraGard will co-locate their Congress and first annual Conference with ASIS and (ISC)2 on September 12-15 in Orlando, Florida.

This joint conference will represent more than 150,000 security professionals who are members of these three associations. The events, which together are anticipated to draw more than 20,000 attendees from around the world, combine to offer dynamic educational programs, interactive networking forums, and 700+ product and service displays across more than 230,000 square feet. General education sessions, networking events, and the exhibit floor are open to registered attendees for either event, which for the first time will include registered members of InfraGard. The educational sessions will now include an InfraGard track integrated into the three days of focused education programs, developed and delivered by ASIS, (ISC)2 and InfraGard.

Gary Gardner, Chairman, InfraGard Board of Directors, stated "Having our 20th Anniversary Congress and Conference co-located with the 62nd ASIS International Seminars and Exhibits is symbolic of InfraGard's collaborative mission of educational and information sharing across all 16 Critical Infrastructures. Our 'all hazards' approach to protection and resilience of the nation's critical infrastructures, their cyber vector and our roots in the FBI make the relationship with ASIS International and (ISC)2 truly complementary. This is an incredible opportunity for the members of all three associations to leverage each other; network and collaborate on our important missions."

"As the bellwether in public-private relationships among security professionals, InfraGard is a natural and exemplary partner for ASIS," says Peter J. O'Neil, ASIS's CEO. "With three of the leading security organizations joining forces at one marquee event, attendees and exhibitors can expect a week of stimulating programming, exhibits, and networking. We believe that this is a great stride in our effort toward creating a more rewarding seminar experience."

"We talk a lot about convergence," says David Shearer, CEO of (ISC)², "and there's no better example than our alliance with InfraGard and ASIS. Together, (ISC)², InfraGard and ASIS are leveraging expertise and resources to unite security strategies. As allies, through our collocated conferences, we are building a well-trained, skilled workforce to mitigate threats and acts of cyber terrorism."
