Rebranding Your Name

As I ponder the final message from Global Security Exchange (GSX), I have to think that the rebranding of ASIS to GSX was a mistake. After spending two and a half days on the show floor, and talking to numerous people, not a single person referred to the show as GSX.

The ASIS' GSX tradeshow offered plenty of positive attributes nonetheless. I was able to visit with anyone at any booth, at any time. I had plenty of awesome product conversations without interruption, and I was able to get from one booth to another without much difficulty. I appreciate that the aisles were wide enough to pass others without bumping into someone.

GSX provided cutting-edge technology, more than 350 immersive and experiential education sessions, thousands of innovative security products and services, and countless quality and lead-generating networking opportunities. Tradeshow staff reported 20,000 registered attendees and 550 exhibitors from more than 113 countries under one roof at the newly rebranded GSX.

Event organizers said the second day of GSX was jam-packed with security professionals eager to get first-hand exposure to leading exhibitors and vendors offering innovative solutions that solve traditional everyday security issues as well as deliver emerging technologies to solve problems of the future, such as AI, blockchain and AR/VR.

GSX continues on its merry way next year from Chicago.
